What is Printio?
Printio is a website where you upload a file to a local print shop before you arrive. The shop prints it from a queue, and you pay cash when you pick it up.
Do I need an account to print something?
No. You can upload a file and place an order as a guest, with just your name. Creating an account only saves your order history for next time.
How do I print my files without sending them on WhatsApp?
Upload the file directly on the shop's Printio page. It goes straight to the shop, encrypted, without passing through a chat app or a phone number.
Is my file deleted after it's printed?
Yes. It is permanently deleted about an hour after the shop marks your order as printed. You don't need to ask, and there's nothing you need to do.
What happens if no shop accepts my order?
Your file is deleted automatically if no shop accepts the order within 24 hours.
Can I delete my file myself?
Yes. Once your order is printed, you can delete it right away from your order page instead of waiting the hour.
Who can see my file?
Only the shop you send it to. Your file is encrypted from the moment you upload it, and no one else, including other shops on Printio, can open it.
What file types and sizes can I upload?
PDF, PNG, JPEG, or WEBP files. As a guest you can upload up to 20 MB per file; with an account, up to 50 MB, depending on what the shop allows.
How do I pay?
Cash, at the shop, when you pick up your prints. Printio doesn't take payment online.
How does a print shop join Printio?
A shop owner registers directly on the site. It takes a few minutes, and it's free for the first year.
