Printio connects people who need something printed with nearby print shops, and gets the file there safely. By using Printio, you agree to the following.
If you're a customer
What Printio is, and isn't
Printio sends your file to the shop you choose, tells them what to print, and deletes the file afterward on the schedule in our Privacy page.
Printio isn't the print shop itself. We don't set the shop's prices, hours, or quality of work, and we're not involved in the cash payment you make when you pick up. That's between you and the shop directly.
Accounts
You don't need an account to place an order. If you make one, you're responsible for keeping your password safe and your details accurate.
Acceptable use
Don't upload files you don't have the right to print, or anything unlawful. We scan every file for malware before it reaches the shop, and the shop can also decline to print any order.
Payment
Payment happens directly with the shop, in cash, when you pick up. Printio isn't involved. We never see or store any payment information.
Your files
Your file is encrypted, used only to fulfil your order, and deleted afterward on the schedule on our Privacy page. You can delete it yourself as soon as it's printed if you'd rather not wait.
If a shop declines your order
If a shop declines your order, we delete your file right away. You don't need to do anything, and you're free to try another shop.
If you run a print shop
Registering your shop on Printio means agreeing to the following, on top of everything above.
Files customers send you may hold private information: ID scans, contracts, coursework, medical papers. Use them only to fulfil the order they came with, and don't copy, forward, or keep them for anything else.
You don't need to keep your own copy of a customer's file once their order is done. Printio already deletes it on its end.
You're responsible for handling lawfully any file or information a customer sends you. Printio's encryption and deletion protect the file while it's in transit and stored with us; once you've opened or printed it, protecting that copy is on you.
You're responsible for your print quality and service, and for the prices and hours shown on your shop page.
Liability
Printio is provided as-is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted service. We're not responsible for a shop's quality of work or how it handles your file after opening or printing it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Any meaningful change will show in the "last updated" date above.
